Workers at Paris' Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports plan to strike between 18-20 June; flight disruptions possible
Airport staff affiliated with the CGT and UNSA SAPAP unions and employed by Paris airports are planning to launch strike action June 18th as part of a dispute over proposed amendments to terms of employment. Participants will walk out at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY) airports from 07:00 June 18th until 07:00 June 20th.
Unless averted, the work stoppage will likely cause disruptions to flights, including delays and cancellations, at CDG and ORY. Passengers will likely experience longer waits for check-in, baggage claims, and clearing security. Availability will likely be limited on those flights that do run. Disruptions could continue for several hours after the official strike end date. Further such strikes could take place in the future unless the dispute is resolved.
