EasyJet cancels flights between Manchester and Scotland following COVID-19 travel ban
EasyJet has cancelled flights between Manchester and Scotland following the Scottish Government’s decision to impose a COVID-19 travel ban.
The budget airline has said they're no longer able to operate their new routes connecting Edinburgh and Aberdeen with Manchester due to the change.
Manchester and Salford were added to the ban on Monday, bringing the boroughs in line with rules already in place last month for Bolton and Blackburn with Darwen, in Lancashire, due to rising cases of the Delta variant.
EasyJet's Manchester-Edinburgh route, which replaces a service lost when Flybe ceased operations in March 2020, was launched this month along with 11 other UK domestic routes amid Government rules limiting foreign travel.
