Eastern Airways, a franchise partner of Flybe, is increasing its Aberdeen to Newcastle service up to four flights a day, helping improve links between the north-east Scotland and the north-east of England.

From Monday, 21 January 2019, passengers travelling to Newcastle from Aberdeen Monday to Thursday will have the choice of up to four flight times.  This is also complemented by the Durham Tees Valley service, providing Aberdeen with up to seven flights a day in total to the north-east of England.

With an approximate journey time of just an hour, peak weekday flights depart Aberdeen for Newcastle at 6.45am, 12 noon, 4.30pm and 7.55pm.  The airline continues to offer a weekend service on Sundays.

The UK airline currently operates two flights daily between Aberdeen and Newcastle.

The regional operator continues to provide Aberdeen with a link to London City with two flights each weekday in both directions via Newcastle. Passengers remain on board the aircraft for the short stop as it drops off and picks up passengers in Newcastle.
