Engineering work to disrupt train services in Scotland
Train passengers are warned to expect travel disruption in the coming weeks, with major rail improvement work set to take place.
Work is due to be undertaken on several central belt routes, meaning trains will be replaced by buses for some or all of the journey.
Scotrail is warning passengers they should plan their trip in advance, and leave extra time for travel. Although the vast majority of the work will take place on the weekend, some weekday services will be affected.
The disruption is due to start on Sunday 19th August, and end on Sunday 14th October.
